1. Being Neil Amstrong
This space-themed bedroom will give an awe to your little boy! Not only there is astronaut suit stuck on the wall (also astronaut sketch followed), but the bed will remind your boy of Neil Amstrong’s mission.
A folding bed with white color on the edge provided will recall you of the space-ship travel throughout the galaxies. Let your child imagine being a spaceship captain with this futuristic bed.
We can feel the ambiance of outer space in this space themed bedroom. Thanks to the deep blue paint resemble the dark energy of outer space, the paintings of solar planets, white paintbrush incarnates the cluster of stars, and of course futuristic bed and cupboard that can be folded. So awesome and multifunctional. In the afternoon, you can fold the bed and roll the carpet so that your son can play on that.
1. Children tend to draw everywhere, also on the wall. If you do not use waterproof paint, then your children will ruin this beautiful space painting with crayon, water paint, etc.
2. This custom folding-bed is also expensive and can be dangerous if your children accidentally dropped it while playing.
The wall design is so simple yet quite stunning: the stars shine brightly among the deep-blue energy. When night comes, your children will feel like sleeping surrounded by stars, dreaming of flying among the light.
That bold outer space designs on sheet and blanket in this space themed bedroom will drive their dreams higher as if they actually fly into space and are surrounded by stars.
This space-themed bedroom is so lavish that you will feel like you have the entire universe when you sleep there. It is so shining and brings you, especially the astronomy-geek, a good dream on the night.
It is not easy to paint the stars like that. You have to make sure that somebody can paint it for you. Moreover, this room can amaze adults but may be boring for children.
3. Fly Me to The Moon
Your child has grown up so fast that right now, he/she is not a kid anymore. However, he/she is still dreaming how marvelous it is to become Neil Armstrong. Therefore, we think that this space-themed bedroom will suit you two.
Look at this moon mural wallpaper. It gives an ambiance that your child’s room is located in the sky, near the full moon shines bright on the night. Whoever sleeps in this space-themed room will experience such a lucid dream of Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me to The Moon.
Not extremely complicated, but impressive. That’s the impression we’ll get when seeing this room. Unlike another space-themed bedroom we used to see, this room offers both exclusivity and simplicity. It is easy to design a room this way. You just have to prepare the moon mural wallpaper as seen in the picture, the wood floors, and the geometric pattern bed cover.
For kids, this space-themed bedroom looks so monotonous. The mural’s concept is too realistic and there is no cute ornament in the room. Hence, this space-themed room should be made for teenagers.
The room will make you feel like you are standing inside the solar system. How come? The designer undoubtedly has a high intention to create a magnificent space-themed bedroom.
Not only painting the ceiling with sky maps, the designer also adds miniatures of the planets and painted the sun around the lamp, therefore anyone who sleeps there feels as they are floating in outer space.
1. The deep-blue color in this room is a good selection.
2. The placement of the planet miniatures is very precise.
3. The carpet used to cover the floor make the room look sweeter and more suitable for children as well.
The cost is too high to transform your child’s room into something like this.
5. Welcome To The Captain Room
If you intend to make a unique room for your teen, then it will be a tremendous room for him/her. Still, it is a space-themed bedroom, but it is more mature than other rooms mentioned above and more futuristic. When you enter this room, you will feel like you are in the operating room of a spaceship.
The LED lights that surround this space-theme bedroom is so mesmerizing! You will feel like you are going to leave The Earth on a mission. The use of mirror makes the room more spacious.
There is no border between bed and bath-tub. It is applied to make a futuristic ambience, but you can not take a bath while not wetting the room.
6. Leaving on a Jet Plane
Do you want a minimalist space-themed bedroom? This concept is the answer. No overlapping items, and the blue and white colors in furniture make a spacious impression.
This space-themed bedroom is so relaxing once we see it, thanks to the semicircle bed and bright blue Earth mural.
The rocket-shaped shelf accentuates the space-themed bedroom, but unfortunately that stuff just ruins the natural ambience of the bedroom. Maybe you can change it with around-shape shelf that is more simple.
7. A Tiny Planetarium
You know that children love planetarium. What about bringing it into their space-themed bedroom? That must be a good surprise, isn’t it?
1. The room gives you a flawless impression of the space-themed bedroom.
2. The curved ceiling makes the room more magnificent, make your children feel like they fly into the outer space.
The ceiling of the room should be painted by a person who is able to mix colors in order to make evening sky effect. If you use only one dark blue color, there will be no blue outer space for your child.
8. So Lone a Bedroom
Unlike other room designs, the space design in this room is quite old, just like NASA’s office in the middle of 70’s.
It is not difficult for you to design a room this way. In addition, for you parents with two children, this room is perfect for you!
For children’s playground during the day, this space-themed bedroom is somewhat monotonous and unattractive.
9. Trying to Catch a Shooting Star
Rumor has it that the falling star will grant our wishes. Well, it is hard to believe, yet at least with the space-themed bedroom decorated with a sky full of falling stars, you can grant your child’s wish to sleep among the stars.
1. The grass carpet and the sloping ceiling make you feel like you are sleeping in the meadow, looking at the starry night.
2. This room is a dream comes true for children with high imagination.
The lamp installation in this room is complicated since the ceiling is tilted. This space-themed bedroom uses a spotlight, which cost higher to the electricity
10. Sleeping in The Spaceship
What is the best thing in this space-themed bedroom? Definitely, that cabin look alike bed! This is not a bedroom, this is a simulation of spacecraft!
This is a bedroom all children may wish for. From the desk that reminds you to the operating room, the rocket, and the bed, all is perfect!
The concept is perfect and that is true. But the stair in this loft-bed is quite dangerous for children.
11. When Baby Flies High
For you who just have a baby and want him/her to be an astronaut, perhaps this room design is right for you.
1. The outer space concept in the space-themed bedroom is not too exaggerated.
2. The wallpaper stickers are so cute, they suit the baby.
The standing lamp is quite bothering for it shines too bright, especially for a baby.
12. Starry Night themed bedroom
If you want a space-themed bedroom that suits not only for children but also for teens as well as adults, choose this bedroom style. In the afternoon, nothing seems special about this room. But when the evening comes and you turn off the light, the ceiling looks alike star constellation.
It is not difficult to make a room with this concept. Besides that airplane miniature, you just need to put a glow-in-the-dark sticker in all corners of the space-themed bedroom.
As we have said before, in the afternoon or when the lamp is turned on, this room looks ordinary because the glow-in-the-dark stickers don’t work out. And once the phosphor substance from the glow-in-the-dark stickers fades away, you have to change it into the new ones.
It is impossible to talk about space-themed bedroom without mentioning Star Wars. There are many rooms with Star Wars concept, and this one is quite pleasing and easy to imitate.
It’s challenging but not difficult to turn this room into a space-themed bedroom! Put star wall stickers on that grayish-blue wall, and use Star Wars sheets to cover the bed. Voila, you will transform into Luke Skywalker.
The bed stairs level in the rooms is not child-friendly. If your child is small and not careful, he could fall.
14. The Afternoon Sky
Usually, a space-themed bedroom is dominated by deep-blue paint. However, this room is painted with light blue and white colors, instead of using the deep-blue one
The Earth’s atmosphere mural in the ceiling makes the room looks bright, suits for daytime activities.
It must be admitted that the atmospheric nuance in the ceiling is nice, but it’s difficult to paint that style. If you do it wrong, your room would be such a mess.
15. Among Millions of Galaxies
For those who adore spaceship and constellation theme, this space-themed bedroom is a paradise! From the blue LED to the constellation mural both in the wall and in the ceiling, this room gives you a real sensation on how it feels to fly on the outer space, sleeping among the stars and galaxies.
Too many things to adore in this room! The designer gives a perfect space-theme with premium furniture and murals as well. This space-themed bedroom is not only suits for children but also adults.
You have to realize that electricity cost for this space-themed bedroom is quite high. To reduce it, you can use regular lamps. But, the space-themed effect will not be as dramatic as it was.
16. Retro Space-Themed
If you really love retro style, and you want it to fuse with space-theme, then we will give you this room concept! A perfect blend of retro style and solar system mural, you will feel like you are in the middle of 70’s movie about traveling in the outer space when entering this space-themed bedroom
This space-themed bedroom is so mature that you won’t spend too much time designing this room. It’s quite easy to design it and to arrange the furniture. And as adult’s room, it’s exclusive enough.
If you are a die-hard fan of the space-themed bedroom, you won’t love this room. This room is too monotonous for you that you don’t feel like you are in outer space. Otherwise, you will think that you are an employee of NASA that only can see outer space from picture and PC.
17. The Miniature of International Space Station
Maybe this is not a room, this is a real International Space Station. From the shelf painted to be aluminum-alike, into that silvery bed and astronaut action figure, how can you still think that it is an ordinary space-themed bedroom?
It can be used for video shooting of any projects related to outer space or ISS, knowing that this space-themed bedroom is beyond perfect and can increase your children’s creativity.
We think that the bed’s concept is quite exaggerated. That silvery sheet is not comfortable to sleep on.
Thus, if somebody keeps asking when will people be able to travel into the outer space, you can answer that by showing him your kids’ space-themed bedroom. Happy dreaming, everybody!
